I am 4 weeks pregnant and have Bacterial vaginosis. My doctor prescribed me an antibioti called METRONIDAZOLE. I stopped taking any medicine at all about 2 years ago. I only use homeopathic remedies. I def dont want to take anything while pregnant and in my first trimester but i also dont want to let the infection get any worse as it can cause preterm labor later in my pregnancy. Please help. Natural remedies? or any other advice? I am a very natural way of living type of girl…………natural birth..no medicine…not even a tylenol
I am also concerned about my breast milk being affected as i am currently breastfeeding my 9 1/2 ,month old
will the meds affect my breastmilk

What are some good natural BV remedies? I don’t like using antibiotics as I feel it is very bad for your body since it kills good bacteria as well as bad.
I’m open to any forms of remedy, whether it be tea, depositories, douches, supplements, whatever it is I want to hear it

My sister’s boyfriend of five months has fingered her on many occasions and did not wash his hands before fingering. He has also given her oral sex a few times. He tried once to have intercourse, and there was some genital to genital contact, but no full penetration. For a few months she’s been complaining of vaginal itching, some redness, and discharge. She’s seen a physician who examined her vagina (no pap smear or pelvic exam, just observation). She gave her some suppositories for yeast infection. She didn’t like taking the suppositories, so stop taking them. Her boyfriend, by the way, have been tested for HIV, gonorrhea, and chlamydia and his tests came out as "non-reactive" and negative. I’ve been reading online about vaginitis and I urged her to go to the clinic since she was still having vaginal itchy. She just saw a nurse practitioner who looked at her vagina and said it looked like a yeast infection. My sister asked if it could possibly be BV but the nurse said BV has a fishy odor. So the nurse prescribed a pill to treat yeast infection. So she gave her another prescription for yeast infection.

Anyway, it is very unlikely that she has BV?

Well, I’m having a discharge that is yellow sometimes and other times it is white and it smells really bad. But it’s not fishy. This is really embarrassing but it smells more like feces. It’s horrible and people around me can smell it. Could this still be bacterial vaginosis even if it’s not fishy?

Hi im 24 years old-ive not been able to do a cancer test yet as im nder 25 my doc wont do one… I recently suffered with Bacterial Vaginosis which is an infection- although i took my anti bitoics i thought i was clear… My period was a week ago so i know its not that– I have tonsilitis so am on penicillin– not sure if it can be a symptom from the pills?? I didnt have any until i started takin them…

I had bleeding before so my doctor swab tested me & found i had Bv infection… but i havent seen that as a symptom of bv- im due to an internal scan in 3weeks time… im worried though incase it could be cancer?!? –My periods are irregular,really heavy & painful. Then i come off & clear but tend to get abit of bleeding aweek or 2 later which my doc said could be my BV as i suffered in silence for about a year! i lost my mum awhile back to cancer so i know what a nasty disease it can be! i finished my antibiotics for the BV about 2 days ago & had the bleed lastnight.. it looked abit like had a couple of clots init & was like the start of my period,i had abit again this morning! im worried but was fine before started taking penicillin for my tonsil

It seems like everytime i treat myself with a store bought cure for bacteria vaginosis or a yeast infection i will still end up with a odor soon after intercourse with my boyfriend in time . I’m a clean person i wash up after everytime we have sex how do i prevent from having odor without stopping my boyfriend from cumming in me ? Is this a normal issue to have from unprotected sex?

I got some cream from the dr today to help my Bacterial vaginosis. Now I put some In side my Vagina today. But they told me to take a hot bath was it bad that I did already put some on or should Iput on In again after I take a hot bath

I was two weeks late starting my period (started today), but i started having cramps at the normal time. also, i’ve had other symptoms such as sore breasts and being tired. I am definitely not pregnant — i thought i was but the blood test was negative. i had a faint pos home test, but i looked later & it was close to expiring and may not have been stored ideally. Also, I don’t know if this is relavent, but i am in the middle of being treated for bacterial vaginosis, and several months ago I found out I had trichomonas & was treated, along with my husband (whom I’ve been monogomouse with since we got together 15 months ago. also, this is my first cycle off the pill, so i’m thinking that would be most likely to be affecting it. but the fact that i’ve been cramping for over 2 weeks doesn’t seem right. could it be a sign of a condition, or is it just my body trying to get itself back on track after being on the pill for over a year? why the cramping for so long? (& it’s not severe or anything, just normal cramps) anyone know?

I think I may have BV — I have heavier brownish discharge with an unpleasant odor — and I was wondering if there are any non-antibiotic cures. It might be a yeast infection, so I’ll try those remedies first, but I want to know other things to try too. I’m only 13, and I can NOT go to a gyno, I’d be mortified. I’m not overly shy about any vagina related things with myself, but other people? No freakin’ way. Sorry.
The heavy discharge is new, the unpleasant smell used to only occur after skipping showers but now it’s happening every day. I’m thinking it might be a sign of my period, which is irregular and due any day now, but I’m not positive. I’m a virgin, by the way. I tried switching soaps and that didn’t help. I used to get a burning when I washed down there, too.
The cures can be natural, store bought, home made, I don’t care. I just want advice. Please no ’see a doctor’ answers — as I said, I can’t! And no douching either, I want to solve the prob not cover it up. Thanks

Is sex the only thing that can cause BV (bacterial vaginosis)?
