ok… Im really confused. I have a normal smelling vagina… Than i kept getting bacterial vaginosis due to my bf ejaculating in me everyday. it totally messed up my vaginas ph so i kept getting thos types of infections. after treatment i smell normal again. so i do have experience with this. but what is happening now is different. i got my period 5 days ago. it smelled like normal period for the first few days but than there was a faint fish odor. i googled it and its supposedly normal. so i shower twice a day and the smell goes away for a while. normally with bv the smell does not go away when you wash (trust me lol) so i know it cant be bv tis time. and we cut down how much he ejaculates in me to prevent that infection from hapening again. anyway. we had sex last night and he ejaculated in me and this morning when i awoke there was a stronger fish smell until i showered…and now theres no odor at all. whats going on?

im about 2 months pregnant and i went to the doctors 4 days ago, and the doctor told me i have bacterial vaginosis.. i took the vaginal cream and everything.. but i think i cant have sex until 5 days after.. but my boyfriend always wants to have sex.. and i told him i didnt want to until the cream wore off.. so he insisted on me giving him oral sex.. i really didnt want.. but i did.. now im scared and im thinking that since i have bacterial vaginosis.. does that mean that my boyfriend also has bacteria.. and i gave him head.. so now im worried im gonna get a disease.. any help?
ok.. i dont think u all understood me.. i have bacterial vaginosis.. and before i knew i had it.. me and my boyfriend would have sex.. and since we would have sex .. does that mean that i pass the bacterial on to him.. im worried that i past the bacterial onto him and then since i gave him oral sex.. maybe i got the bacterial in my mouth…

Its not a yeast infection but is it similar? Can I pass it to my husband and cause us to be passing it back and forth like a yeast infection? My doc gave me an antibiotic but I just want to know if I’m safe for my husband before the antibiotic is finished.
would it be dangerous to him?
by the way everyone, I know its not an std.

I have an appointment with my gynecologist tomorrow because I think I might have a bacterial infection (BV=Bacterial Vaginitis). I have been having excessive discharge and off and on a foul/fishy odor for a couple of weeks now. So I made my appointment a couple of days after the symptoms and my appointment is tomorrow. I am currently 4DPO (Tomorrow will be 5) and I was just wondering if I should let him know that or I don’t know, just what all besides the symptoms that I should let him know?
Thanks in advance! And please, no rude comments.

I just started taking the awful pills yesterday for my bacterial vaginosis. When do the symptoms of the bv start to clear up? Is it normal for these pills to make me feel nauseous all the time? I eat and drink milk while taking them, doesn’t seem to help..

I have recently been diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis, and have to take an antibiotic for a week to get rid of it (metronidazole). Now, I have also been on the pill for about 16 months now (I take Logest- or Femodette as it’s called in the UK, it’s a low dose pill). My boyfriend is away for 3 weeks, so obviously I am not going to do anything during that time. My question is, can I start taking the antibiotic now, if there will be no sex for me for three weeks? I am now taking my 6th pill (I started a new pack on Wednesday), and had sex twice since (unprotected). Will this have any effect on anything, or is the antibiotic theory only valid during the course of the treatment? Your help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Why would you tell me that antibiotics will have no effect on the contraceptives, when my doctor clearly told me so? That statement alone decreases the credibility of your condescending comment.

I know that vaginal discharge is normal and it should be lightly or no odor at all. And i also know that Bacterial vaginosis causes discharges to have a very heavy odor. I SOMETIMES get that but then it goes away, i was wondering if that is normal or not?? If you know then what is going on?? or should i really see a doctor.
Again, it only happens now and then for few days, not all the time
I’m not sexually active and have very good hygiene
