Okay, Hey everyone. This is gross, and please, I’m already embarassed enough as it is, I’ve searched everywhere online. And I can’t find a single thing to help me. I have bacterial vaginosis, I’ve had it for a while now. Like 5 or maybe 4 months. I went to the doctor, and she gave me Flagyl, and I took it, for two weeks or so my problem was gone. But then it came back. And it was bearable, but lately it’s been terrible, I’m so embarassed, I feel like everyone can smell me. I need some fix to this, without going to a doctor! Because I’m not 18 yet and I don’t want my family to know, and I’ve already tried this doctor remedy. Please Help!!

Hi I was diagnoised with Bacterial Vaginitis today. I was given a perscription of Metronidazol 250 mg tab. I am suppose to take 2 tablets by mouth 3 times daily for 7 days. That would be 1500 mg a day. It just seems like a high dose to me and I have done some reseach online an from what I can tell 1000mg a day is a normal treatment.
Thoughts??

I have been going back and fourth with doctors trying to figure out why every month I experience yeast infection-like symptoms either during our immediately following my period. Finally after 4 months, I have found a doctor who knows what he is doing. He diagnosed me with bacterial vaginosis and prescribed me Metrogel Vaginal Gel (a 7 day suppository treatment). I am now on day 4 of the treatment and nearly all of the itchy, burning uncomfortable feelings have gone away. However, during day 2 of the course, I began seeing a HUGE amount of clumpy, wet tissue paper type of discharge ( I know, absolutely disgusting) but now realize after finding an informational website that this is completely normal. I do have one question though: How long with this discharge go on for after finishing my 7 day treatment? As you can imagine, it is terribly hard to be confident about yourself when you have what looks like ricotta cheese coming out of your "who-ha"…any insight on this topic woult be great!

What can one do to prevent the re-occurrence of bacterial vaginosis? I currently have my first case of it and I am on anti-biotics, but really I don’t know what could have caused the issue. I have one partner, we use protection (barrier and hormonal), I consider myself hygenic, I only wear cotton undergarments, I pee after sex, I wash gently with warm water – no soap, no douching. What am I doing wrong??
p.s. I had like 5 UTI’s earlier this year too – why so many infections?? I am 22 and falling apart?

I have no insurance, and am finally deciding to go to Planned Parenthood to help diagnose and treat an infection I have. I believe I have Bacterial Vaginosis. About how much can I expect to pay for the visit and treatment? If it’s income based, I waitress in a small restaurant, I don’t make all that much. Just looking for round-about figures. Thanks!

I have experienced a discharge for about a year now, It’s a white strong smelling discharge, that smells fishy/uriney
I have been tested for stds and thrush and i’m all clear
however when my boyfriend ‘came’ inside me the symptoms got worse.
I heard that seamen can change the vaginas pH or something?
The doctors are useless so I guess i am going to have to go at it alone.
But ever since he came inside me it has been awfully sore and the discharge has got even worse. My boyfriend is also clear of STD’s and we are trying for a baby, hence why we did not use protection
Thanks in advance hunnys! X

I suffer from allergies the heat has been on a lot. When I breathe I can feel the air in my throat making it dry. When I drink more water it makes my throat feel better. My nose is a bit runny not much. I also had oral sex with a guy a week ago so I’m concerned that I could have a bacterial infection. Is there any way to know if my soreness is caused by allergies or infection?
