I believe I have BV, I’ve had the symptoms for several months and even though I stay super hygienic down there (change underwear once or twice a day, keep the area clean (but not too clean to where the good bacteria is washed away) and I don’t have any money to see a doctor. Are there any home remedies? Or even if I did see a doctor how much would that be?

i have chronic bateria vaginosis.(bv) is there any other women that suffers from this? they say it’s not sexually transmitted. they say different things can trigger. different sex partners, douching, panties. after sex i get them . i treat it with metrogel, but they come right back. sometimes i get rid of it and they don’t come back. it varies. i am confused and depressed. it’s interfering with my sex life. is there anyone else who has this? ever had it? the dr told me that men don’t give it to you. i’m healthy. my physical come back fine. that’s the only problem.no std’s. nothing else is bothering me but this bv.it’s annoying. the worst part of it is it cause a fishy odor. not pleasant. help!

im 13 and never gotten my period before and im a virgin. i have this yellow, thick, smelly vaginal discharge that comes everyday for the past 4 weeks. im sure i have a infection but i dont know which one ( yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis ).can someone tell me the diffrence and which one i have.

Ok I have had this itch between my vagina opening and my butt for over a month now, its not always there somedays its there somedays not. I have read everything on Bacterial Vaginosis I was having discharge about the time that it started havent pay attention since ( There are no bumps, blisters, sores, or anything that tells me its a std.. so i know that its not a std.) All I have is a itch and at times buring usually when I pee sometimes not when I pee. I have all the signs of bv except for the fishy smell so i was wondering if everyone gets that when you have bv. I have tried antifungal cream and yeast infection cream and prescription yeast infection cream. I have been recently dianosed with Diabetes so my other question is can diabetes cause bv also and do you have to have the fishy smell with bv. all your help will me grateful no rude comments please. I havent been with anyone in 2 years besides my husband and i know he hasnt either.

I am 22 and had my first pap smear yesterday. I am a virgin and the doctor prescribed antibiotics. Said I have bacterial vaginitis. How could I have gotten this if I am not sexually active and had no symptoms of infection? Also, how long can it go untreated? I am worried because it was my first pap smear and i have never had sex so i wonder how long i have had this and never knew?

I have been struggling with this infection for over a year now and would like some input. About a week after a sexual encounter I started having symptoms of severe discharge (has the consistency of snot) and pelvic cramps (severe also) Got tested for everything (gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, HIV, all the hepatitis’s and even diabetes!) and everything came back negative. I continued to see this doctor who said I had bacterial vaginosis and treated me with Metronidazole. I had to take 4 different treatments of Metronidazole before switching doctors because the symptoms weren’t changing. This new doctor tested me and said I had Mycoplasma and Ureaplasma and placed me on Metronidazole and I believe Azithromycin for a week with no success! The pain is started to move to my lower back and now I’m having ’spasm’ like pains where it feels like someone is pinching my ovaries, acne, oily face, mood swings, fatigue…the list goes on. I went in for an ultrasound about a week ago and the lady who preformed it said that my ovaries were really close to my uterus and if I’ve ever heard of endometriosis. When I saw my doctor right after that she said that my ovaries were close to the uterus, but really nothing to be concerned about. I am now on a 2 week course of antibiotics (Clindamycin 4 times a day & Doxycycline 2 times a day) and am halfway through the treatment with STILL no results. My question is…if this antibiotic was working, shouldn’t I have seen some improvement by now? The doctor said I might want to consider a laproscopy (hope I spelled that right) to get a better look inside there. Has anyone had to deal with this before? Is mycoplasma and ureaplasma this hard to cure??? Thank you!
I would just ask the guy, but it was a rape and I have no clue who it is. I just thought I’d be safe and test for everything ender the sun…but this mycoplasma and ureaplasma is kicking my butt! I just wanted to know if anyone had info on it, or has struggled with it.

I have the worst smelling discharge I’ve ever had. I’ve never usually been smelly… at all! So this is freaking me out a bit. It doesn’t smelly fishy at all.. it smells like sour milk, or (this is really disgusting but..) almost like someone threw-up. It smells soo bad. It came out looking almost greyish or green even but when I wiped it, it was dark yellow. I’m going to the health clinic tomorrow, but I just wanted to know if anyone knows the answer to any of this? I’m scared its Trichamoniasis.. but it could also be B.V. I just got off the nuva ring also because I was getting too many yeast infections but this is the first week I’m off of it and I’m getting this horrible smell.

I have recently been diagnosed with BV and a slight yeast and put on metronidazole vaginal gel. Well this worked for about three days and it came back. So back to the OBGYN I went. She gave me an oral form of Metronidazole and a yest pill. Well I took it and again a few days off of the antibiotic the symptoms returned. This last time she called me in the same antibiotic and yest cream and ta da the stuff is back. I am sooo depressed about this problem…I have no idea what could keep causing it. I quite wearing thongs and taking bubble baths, I changed to female wash instead of soap. I have never had intercourse. I am aganst a wall. Could oral sex cause this problem?…that is the only thing I can think of right now….but see I have been celebate while taking the medicine…….Someone give me some answers please. This is deiving me insane.

Ok I have bacteria vaginosis and I am using the apple cider vinegar treatment. I want to know how long before I can have sex? It says that symptoms mostly are gone in a day but how long before it is all clear.
