My puppy was recently diagnosed with puppy vaginitis and is just miserable. She was started on an antibiotic, which doesn’t seem to be helping, may not even be bacterial. Is there anything I can use topically to help relieve her misery?

I just got off my period and now have excessive discharge with a faint fowl smell. I know it’s not a yeast infection and i have had bacterial vaginosis before. Why would i have this if i just got off my period? I was thinking about getting a douche. Should I? I dont have insurance to go to the doctor. Any home remedies? Or is there anything I can get from the store?

I just went for my yearly check up and I have a cervix bacterial infection. My doctor just called in my prescription so I didn’t get to ask the questions I want. Can or does my boyfriend have the infection as well? And what may have caused it?
Thanks

i was using metrogel for 5 days as prescribed by my gyn about a week or two ago and she said to keep what i had left over to use if my bacterial vaginiosis came back (i guess it can have repeat occurrences) well tonight i had sex with my boyfriend, he came in me and i’m not on the pill. i used about a half of a syringe of it last night and used a full one tonight because my symptoms are coming back, is it possible for me to get pregnant while using this because it’s inserted vaginally or does it create some kind of barrier? thanks for the help guys. no rude answers please :]
bacterial vaginosis is a naturally occuring problem that can come from a bunch of different things it’s not like an STD or anything, i had a reaction to the soap i was using. it was over-cleaning me down there. so your rude comment was really unecessary.

I’d like to get some information from your guys, if possible. I was just pregnant and my LMP is October 12th. I had some mild pain in my lower abdomen and I went to a doctor this morning. The doctor checked me and did some research under the microscope, and she found a lot of bacterias. I was diagnosed bacterial vaginosis.
She warned me of preterm labor as well as possible side effects of the medicine, finally she decided that I should be treated with Metronidazole (Flagyl), twice a day for 7 days. At first, she told me it’s common to have some mild abdominal pain as the uterus grows, however when she found the bacterias, she suspected that it might be the reason causing the pain.
I read some articles saying that getting BV in early pregnancy is more serious than getting it in late pregnancy and it may cause a few complications.
I don’t know if I should be treated at this moment or wait until the second trimester, and if I take the medicine, it may harm the fetus. What would you do if you have a case like mine?
Thank you in advance.
