long i have had it.. i have had the symptoms for a while but i thought it was just a yeast inferction… so i think i have had BV for a while and didnt know it… I know if you go without treatment of BV it could develope PID.. I am soon to be getting treatment, but like i said i have gone a without treatment…so is there a possibility i have PID?? Could PID also cause a missing period i havnt had one since november?? How does the doctor figure out if there is a PID present?? Thanks

Are there different sources for BV, and why didn’t it take it away, i still have it…
Thanks !!

I’ve noticed every time I’ve gotten bacterial vaginosis was after I had unprotected sex with one certain person. I hadn’t had sex with him for a year, we got back together and lo and behold, BV again. Doctors say it’s not a sexually transmitted disease but what is it about his semen (and only his ) that’s causing this ? I know for certain it’s after sexual intercourse without a condom with him. Why is this ?
Yes, but why ? What makes ones semen "unlikable" ?

I experienced re-occuring Bacterial infections about a year ago for a few months. It all the sudden stopped for about half a year but i recently just got another one. The problem is, my medical insuance is not active any longer and i do not get it back until January 2011.
So my question is, does the over the counter treatment get rid of it, or is it a waste of money?

I have recently been treated for Trichamonasis. Before that I was treated for Bacterial Vaginosis. I have no dischagre and no itching. I figured it might be a yeast infection but the medicine is not working becasue I am still having some slight irritation in the vaginal area along the vulva and at the opening, it also feels like my walls are irritated. I have a doctors appt on the 10th of April for a follow up of the trich infection. Im really scared and I need some advice on what it could be.

Do you have to get antibiotics or will it clear up in time?
If i didn’t go to the doctor would it ever go?

I have had the YI for over a year and a half now. I’ve been to the doctor and have been prescribed antibiotics. They seem to work for about a week to a couple of weeks, but then the YI returns. And I was recently diagnosed with Bacterial Vaginosis. (Yeah I’m getting tired of this!) For the past year and a half I’ve tried the natural remedies (garlic pills, drinking vinegar, cranberry juice, applying yogurt) and nothing seemed to keep it away for good. I hear to eat yogurt, but I don’t like the taste of it. Does anyone have any suggestions besides antibiotics because that’s starting to get pricy? Right now I’m fine, but just incase something comes back up, I want to be prepared. Thanks!
