Bacterial Vaginosis

The Shocking Truth About How Often Conventional Treatment Fails And Leads To Even Worst Bacterial Vaginosis

Archive for August, 2010

I have a bacterial infection and have been taking flagyl for 6 days now… (supposed to take for 7), but there is still lots of discharge. The odor has decreased some……but Im getting aggravated with the problem. So is it possible that it may not go away for a few days til after you have finished the treatment? My pap smear came back clean and I have no other conditions or any STD’S.

Ok this is now the 3rd time I have had this… For those who don’t know what it is it’s NOT a STD an you don’t give nor catch it from anyone I’ve been told by many Doctors and know for a fact myself. You can’t use the same thing you can use for a yeast infection to get rid of it. Not trying to be rude, but if you don’t have a clue what I’m talking about save the comments saying go to the Dr. Been there done that antibiotics are just short term for me an other women. So after medications/antibiotics from the Dr. has faild many times. Due to the antibiotics the Dr. gives kills both good an bad bacteria making it easier for BV to come back again an again an harder to get rid of each time it does come back. I have been to the Dr. for this one as well an once again it was hopeless.

I have come across some things that I want to know if they have worked for anyone else. I have read that they do but that’s just on some site. Due they really get rid of BV leaving the beneficial bacteria that all us women have there to prevent it from coming back?

I have already taken steps to improve my diet I’ve seen every where that it can help a lot.

From what I read I guess these are all pills? Folic acid, acidopholus an cranberry pill? I read that it will help keep the beneficial flora balanced in the vagina…. Does it get rid of it can they be used as a cure or does it just keep it under control like a medication? Flat out can they be used as a cure do they work???? One more thing can you buy them at like wal-mart without a persciption? Help please BV gets to the point where it takes over my life leaving me with no personal life. If anyone knows of any cures or ways to get rid of BV in there own personal experiences please let me know. If you even know of some home remedies.

It’s not Chlamydia or Gonorrhea.
About a month ago I started having yellowish green discharge, mild itchiness, and redness/irritation around the vaginal opening. My doctor gave me one week of Flagyl twice daily, which had absolutely no affect at all (the symptoms remained the same, & the discharge INCREASED!)
So I went back and she gave me Clindesse which is Clindamycin (1 time application). I used that, the symptoms disappeared within 24 hours.
I stopped any sexual activity during my treatment with Flagyl and clindesse. One week after using clindesse, I had protected sex, & my symptoms came back again within 48 hours!!!! So I went back to the doctor and she gave me one week of Clindamax (Clindamycin) cream. I’m on day 4 of my treatment, the symptoms are gone, but I can feel some itchiness coming back, & I’m freaking out!!!
I’ve been going to the health center at my college, & I guess their hands are tied when it comes to prescribing strongoer antibiotics! any suggestions!?
The Flagyl was a pill.

and my partner is clean.

19 weeks, yeast infection treatment pain….?

i was treated for b. vaginosis. now i’m being treated for yeast infection, 7-day treatment, miconazole nitrate 2% to be taken as a cream suppository…
has anyone had any experience with this? the doctor said it iss safe, so i don’t think its really hurting the baby…but it is kind of hurting me?
after i put it in i go to sleep, when i wake up to go pee in the middle of the night it hurts to go. its possible that it is not because of the cream that it hurts…maybe i have some sort of UTI? but it doesn’t hurt any other time, and every time after the first pee gets a little less painful.

plus, they’ve sent my pee out to the lab multiple times and it hasn’t come back that i have any kind of UTI or kidney infection, as far as i know. should i just tough it out, or is the pain not normal?

I think my bacterial vaginosis came back?

When I had my pap smear done in July, I found out I had bacterial vaginosis and my doctor gave me some medicine for it. Now, I think the infection has come back because I’ve been having a lot of brown discharge between my periods so I made an appointment to see my doctor again. Do you think I’ll need to get a pelvic exam again or do you think the doctor will just re-prescribe?

can it be caused either by having a sex partner who may carry the infection or is it caused by other things.. and i dont mean y using tampons and douching and "not takin good care of urself like showering".. cuz in most cases women who have bv say they are clean and dont use tampons and dont douche..is it possible ur partner may gave it to you or it is it because the bacteria in the vagina may be causing it itself.. OR if you wash down there too much can cause bv?

I had a bacterial vaginosis before but I got it treated immediately. I dont feel its symptoms when I’m not having any sex when he’s gone travelling or even when we do it and he doesnt come inside me. I notice it recurs usually two days after he ejaculates inside me. I would love to get pregnant and we’re planning to start a family soon.

Although it has still continually been debated, more studies have proven that BV isn’t an STD. It’s more on the disturbance of the vagina’s natural pH and lactobacilli presence.

How can I possibly be fertile again and bear a child when I intermittently take medications for its recurrence? Pls help.
And one thing more, Only women get bacterial vaginosis, not men that’s why they dont need to get treated. I need a precise answer to my question.

I was thinking I had bacterial vaginosis except it does not itch, burn or feel uncomfortable at any time. I have yellowish discharge and smells terrible and that’s it. I am 16 and a virgin so can anyone tell me what is going on with me???

Can a bacterial infection cause trouble urinating?

I went to my doctor this morning because I had been sick with a high fever, and he diagnosed me with some sort of bacterial infection, and prescribed me Augmentin. I forgot to tell him that I had trouble urinating, so I was curious if an infection could cause it. There is no change in the urine itself, the only change is it’s hard to get out. Thanks.
