I had a discharge since my early teen years. i thought it was nothing until i recently been seen at an hospital and been told that i have bacterial vaginosis.ive taken Metronidazole but i made me extremly dry but the discharged was the same as was before. now im not so sure if it BV or not. should i be worried? ive never had and (slight) itching problem until after ive taken metronidazole. im so crossed about all of this.

Can untreated bacterial vaginosis lead to infertile?

Ok so from the symptoms i have been having i think i have bacterial vaginosis..i am really embarrassed to tell my mom because we don’t talk about body problems and sex and all that kind of stuff… Anyways i can tell her without it being really akward?

I first was diagnosed with bacteria vaginosis and a uti about 9 months ago. Since then i keep getting utis and bacteria vaginosis. Since i kept going back and being diagnosed again and agian going from doctor to doctor they decided to put me on aprevention treatment of metronidazole gel twice a week and macrobid at bedtime for utis. And yet here i am agian going to the doctor and they tell me i have a bv again while on this medication and a uti again while being on the macrobid? what am i supposed to do. They told me to stop taking macrobid and put me on amoxicillan and to take the metro gel for 5 days and that should do it. But i still am having bad lower abdominal pain and when i insert the medicine the inside of my vagina has a really bad sharp pain so theres no way for me to have intercourse which is ruining my relationship! i can’t take it any more i keep telling myself i wanna die but i know i wouldn’t never hurt myself i just want help n it seems like no one can. and im only 18!

So I’m 90% sure I have bacterial vaginosis, I’ve been searching it up online and my symptoms match. I have the fishy odor, and the yellow discharge, and had the itchy/irritated vagina before that. I’ve had this for about a month now, and I cannot get rid of it. I know the simplest solution would be going to a doctor and getting a prescription, but then my mom would have to know about all this. I don’t want my mom to know, because I am young, and I am having sex ( using condoms and birth control ). I’ve also tried some home remedies, like applying yougurt to the vagina area, which got rid of the smell for the most part, but not the discharge.
What I’m trying to say, is I need the easiest way possible to get rid
of this, last choice being going to a doctor.

My boyfriend and i have been together for about a year. We both claim to be faithful to one another. But i keep getting BV. When I ask my doctor he said I take to many baths and that BV is only found in women. Also I become dry when we have sex and it causes my boyfriend to get this scab on his penis. We both had a STD screening and we both got (-) results. Can someone tell me what’s going on.

Has any here ever had bacterial vaginosis, and what were your symptoms? I just wanted to hear actual people tell their symptoms because I think I may have it and i’m going to the doctor soon.

Is it possible for someone to live with BV for years or would it have caused bigger problems by then?
