i went to the gyn doctor , and he said i have a yeast infection,

then he took a scraping and looked at it under a microscope, and said it looks like bacterial vagititis

He gave me a diflucan yeast infection perscription
then he gave me clindamycin cream vaginal aplication perscription

Im so woried to death.

any experiences from this at alll, help me please

What treatment options are there out there for bacterial vaginosis???I was told today that there wasn`t any gel or creme available …Is it a PH problem ? Does it go away on it`s own?
I was told today by a medical professional that unless it`s Trich, it doesn`t need to be treated….I`m not pregnant and there`s no risk of developing PID… ( I have had a hysterectomy)..I thought this was weird.

I recently treated a yeast infection for the first time 5 days ago. I used Monistat 1, which is a little more potent, and may have worked too well. Now I have a thick, white, smelly discharge, and I think it may be a bacterial infection caused by a lack of yeast. Can this happen, or is this a normal side effect?
It may be the cream, but everything I’ve read has said that it should be completely expelled by 3 days, and it’s been 5

i was given mirena after i had my daughter in september of 09.
i was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis the same day,
and wasnt treated for it first, they just put the mirena in THEN
treated me for the BV. i was reading about infections and mirena
and they are most definitly NOT supposed to insert the mirena while
you have ANY kind of infection because it cant be treated properly.
it can cause septic shock and even infertility.

and since then i’ve developed chronic high blood pressure
and prescribed Norvasc. which is really sad considering im only 18
and living with high blood pressure amongst my other problems with mirena.

so what is the worst out come of this?
should i get the mirena taken out or just try a different treatment for the bacterial vaginosis?

also mirena has cause me very bad acne and rapid weight gain =[

My gyno tested me positive for having gardnerella and treated me for bacterial vaginosis. But I’m wondering if finding gardnerella in a culture might mean you have something other than BV? Or does it only mean you have BV?

i think i may have either one of the two infections and a little apprehensive about visiting a doctor even though i think ive had the symptoms for quite some time (itching, discharge etc)

My period is three days late i just found out a week ago that i had a bacterial infection could i be pregnant?

hiya i have just been told i have a bacterial vaginosis which i believe i have had for 3 month since my miscarriage – i have been given metronidazole to take twice a day for a week – does this clear it up – and does it normally return ? as i hope it dosnt – i have stopped douching and using perfumed soap which can cause the problem – do you think it will return ? How long after can you drink alcohol once the course is up ? and are the side effects really bad ?
