At first, I was diagnosed and treated for a yeast infection. It cleared up but came back in a couple of months. Then, bacterial vaginosis, also treated and cleared up. A month ago, symptoms started again, and I was diagnosed and treated for BV – but the symptoms did not even lessen (I took Metronidazole orally). Now, I still have whatever it is, and it does not respond to Monistat either. What to do? Tested for STD’s, btw, all clean.

I have had a reoccurring BV infection for several months now. I’ve been to the doctor and nothing seems to cure it. It goes away with meds for about two days then comes right back. Is it possible that my boyfriend is reinfecting me?

Also, do you run a fever when you have a bacterial infection?

Hi again,
My doctor gave me two medications as stated abovve–does anyone know which one is for bacterial vaginosis and which one is for a yeast infection?
Also, my doctor said I had an enlarged uterous…with these symptoms…negative urine test for pg, but she is taking blood. does anyone know the cause of a large uterous?
Thanks!!

I was just diagnosed with a bacterial infection which i believe is called bacterial vaginosis. I’m using a vaginal cream right now that will heal the infection. My doctor said that my boyfriend could be carrying it and then give it right back to me when we have sex even though i’m healed of it. Are there any home remedies or something that he could try so this doesn’t happen. I’ve been dealing with this infection for over a year and i would hate to have to deal with it again. please help. thanks.

Doctors help and prescriptions are not helping I need another way! Please help me! Im sick of it!! Also is bacterial vaginosis an STD? I read a out it to understand more and it is said that it is not because of the fact some people can get it if they have not even have sex before I was just wondering. Please help me with alternatives.
Thanks

i have recently (for about a month) been experiencing strong, smelly vaginal discharge. it has a fishy odor and is usually white.
i researched and discovered that its most likely bacterial vaginitis.
however, i am NOT sexually active at all and never have been- i’m 15.
can you get bv any other way? im too embarrassed to go to a doctor (i would have to talk to my mother and my doctor is a family friend).how can i prevent it?

Has anyone used Augmentin to cure Bacterial Vaginosis? If so, is it an effective treatment? Anything else that helps?
