I noticed the symptoms just after sex. I didn’t shower right away. But it wouldn’t have washed away all the semen even if I had. I don’t want to douche every time I have sex. What else can we do? Should my SO be treated for BV also?

I’ve been suffering from Bacterial Vaginosis for the past 6 months and I keep getting treated and it keeps coming back. For the past 3 weeks I had a horrible smell. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow. Today my boyfriend and I had sex and used a condom and KY Jelly, There is no smell anymore. Should I still get checked out tomorrow?

I never had sex but I’ve masturbated before and I’ve noticed a strong odor from down there. Is it possible to get a bacterial infection from masturbating? Or any kind of infection?

Seems that I can not get rid and stay rid of it…my stomach feels like it has this poison inside it, and in the mornings it hurts so severely! I have used metronidazole pills and the clindamycin cream… but it comes back constantly, and it is itchy and uncomfortable!

I think I may have bacterial vaginosis. I am on my 6th day of Monistat 7 and I still have some symptoms so I don’t think it was/is a yeast infection. I have NO health insurance so I can’t go to the doctor. I don’t have a planned parenting clinic in my area. We have a health department but the soonest appointment is in May 08!
My symptoms are now;
a not so fresh smell. Not sure how to descibe the smell. Sometimes it does smell a little fishy, but mostly just doesn’t smell good at all. I can smell it even through pants!
A white/clear discharge.
I did have itching, burning skin with it but the monistat cleared the itch and redness up.
I am a virgin so I know it’s not an STD.
Will this go away on it’s own or is there any at home treatments for bacterial vaginosis?

Recently I went to the gynecologist because I have an infection. My boyfriend noticed today that when he uses the restroom, his penis touches the inside of the toilet seat, and toilet bowl even. I know the toilet is teaming with bacteria, and I’m wondering whether having sex with him moved that bacteria inside of me. Gross, right? I’m speechlessly disgusted. Please help me out. Smart remarks are unnecessary.
