I had a baby boy about 6 weeks . After my bleeding stopped , things started to smell really bad . My boyfriend hates it . And im not sure what it is . If this is bacterial vaginosis , should i go to the emerge right away ? Or wait until I see my doctor ? this has been going on for about 4 weeks , and i just started bleeding yesterday with blood clots and it feels like i am ripping again , even though im sure my stitches are gone .

Last year my boyfriend and I were in an exclusive relationship and then broke up. I thought I had a yeast infection after we were broken up and I was no longer sexually active because when we were together I developed a bladder infection and used antibiotics to treat it. But come to find out it was BV–Bacterial Vaginosis. I’ve read all of the info. on it and it doesn’t seem to be sexually transmitted. The ironic part of all of this is that my ex-boyfriend and I got back together recently and I developed it again. Is this a coincidence or what? Is it because he is a new partner and it somehow offsets my normal bacterial count? I’ve only developed it after having sex with him but know it could be related to other factors. Hmmmm?

My doctor said I seems you have more than one bacteria infection. So he prescribed one tablet Fluconazole and 14 dys of Metronidazole.

I got prescribed metronidazole for bacterial vaginosis, and I just wanted to know how well it worked. I have a bad odor down there and I dont get how a pill can make it stop. How soon does it work?

I went to the doctor yesterday and she told me I had bacterial vaginosis and she gave me some cream for it (similar to treatment for yeast infections) The directions werent clear on how long to keep it in there, or how soon it would work. When do I know that its cleared up? For some reason I think I should be on antibiotics…will the cream cure it?
