I recently was diagnosed with BV, I just finished taking Flagyl and it worked like a charm. (it’s only been 4 days)
But I’m menstruating and using tampons and now I’m worried it might come back. (I know I should use pads but I can’t afford them right now)
I’ve heard about using a yogurt injection and/or rinsing with diluted apple cider vinegar. Has anyone used these methods before?
Should I rinse myself with the diluted ACV after my period is done?

People say it’s not sexually trasmittable, but everytime we have sex, he comes out with small red irritated bumps on his penis. they go away within 15 minutes after sex. I know it’s not anything like Herpes because I have Herpes, and that’s not what it is. It seems as if my vaginal secretions are irritating him. Is this normal since I have bacterial vaginosis?

My boyfriend tells me that I have a strong acidic taste. Could bacterial vaginosis or a yeast infection be the cause? I don’t think i have a yi though.

I had some swabs done for an STD because i had yellow discharge(gross i know) i had a lot of it, and the tests came back negative for an STD but positive for BV. Is the yellow discharge caused by BV? And does it damage any of the female parts(baby making parts)? Serious answers please!
Also, does BV give you any pain in your pelvis area?

i have all the symptoms for bacterial vaginosis and i was thinking of buying acidophilus tablets to help get rid of it because i don’t want to use antibiotics as they get rid of good bacteria. do you think this will work? also does anyone know of home remedies that will get rid of bv? i’m going to try using tea tree oil in the bath, has anyone tried this?

My mom has been having bacterial vaginosis for many years and it has reached the stage where it makes her feel miserable. She says she’s tried what the doctor gave her but it never really worked as it kept coming back.

I had this infection and it has been over a week since i took the medication. It was a creamy medication that you release in your vagina only once before bed. The infection is gone, but the cream is still sitting in my vagina. Do you think it is okay to douche it out or should i not. I used the medicine on monday last week and the cream is still there.
