14yrs old bacterial vaginitis 3 questions?
ok so im 14yrs old, 125lb and still haven’t started my period, that is not my problem though. i think i may have bacterial vaginitis, i have very very small bumps on my lybia and an almost fishy smelling discharge, so i would like to go to the gyno to check if i do and/or find out if they are related. i have not had sex. so my last question would be if there is is a way to go the gyno without my parents knowing because knowing them they will MOST DEFINATLY (so dont tell me i need to talk to them about it) not let me go there. so the 3 main questions are
1. Do i have bacterial vaginitis?
2. Can that be related to why i have not started my period?
3. Can i go get it checked out by a gyno without my parents knowing?

1. It could be that, or a yeast infection.
2. No relation. And you can get either one without ever having sex. It’s not an STD. It’s an imbalance in the natural bacteria that lives in the vaginal canal.
3. If you really don’t want your parents knowing, go to a clinic like planned parenthood. But you’re better off getting your mom a long and saying to her, Mom, I think I have this and I want to go to a doctor for it. You might as well start forming that type of a bond with your mom so that you can talk to her about other girl related stuff – like when your period really does start or when you start having sex.
You could get checked by your Dr…without the need to see a Gynae/OB , because you need a referral from your Dr to see a Gynae anyway.
It has nothing to do with you not starting your period.
Wear cotton underwear, no soap on the vag when bathing or showering as it strips your natural oils and changes the PH balance which contributes to the vaginitis.
